LINDEN, Texas—Rene Gay Young, 68, of Longview, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Young was born April 12, 1950, in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Young. Survivors include two sons, Jessie Pepper and Edward Pepper; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Sally Works of Jefferson, Texas, and Robby and Mary Works of Longview; one sister, Judy Cato of Linden; six grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home with Cindy Pepper officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
