RODGER KIRBY

NAPLES, Texas—Rodger Kirby, 66, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Kirby was owner of Double Dutch's Liquor, a daycare cleaning service and a barbeque restaurant. Survivors include his wife, Paula Kirby; six children, Rosalum Wiley, Renee Clark, Marcus Sasser, Cecelia Sasser, Lakisha Thurston and Nicole Sasser; one sister, Amanda Haynie; three brothers, Harold Kirby, Larne Kirby and Marck Q. Kirby; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, Texas. Burial will be in Queen City Cemetery, Queen City, Texas, under direction of Sasser Funeral Home.
