HELEN BELL

Helen Bruce Bell was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. She was born on July 4, 1928; in Texarkana, TX, as the third child born to the late J.W. and Myrtle Bruce. A grave side memorial service to honor her will be held at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, in Wake Village, TX, on Saturday, September 22, at 11 A.M. Longtime family friend, Dr. Kenneth Hall will officiate. Helen was a resident of Midland, TX where she had been living with her Son and his family. She lived much of her life, 60+ years, in Shreveport, LA. Helen lived a full rich life, loving Jesus, her family, and friends. Helen never met a stranger. She knew everyone is a child of God and is to be loved and treated with respect. She would routinely walk up to total strangers asking them if they knew Jesus. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; G.V. and Gene Bruce; her sister, Betty Harvey Wilson, nieces; Georgia Ann Tatum and Pam Griggs all of Texarkana, TX and brother-in-law, Cecil Morgan, of Baytown, TX. Left to cherish her memory is her son Warren Bell, and wife Romae, of Midland, TX and her daughter Nancy Majure, and husband Don, of Greenwood, LA. Grandchildren: Allison Bell of Midland, TX, Caitlin Bell, of Lubbock, TX; Amanda Masih, and husband Fayyaz of Pickerington, Ohio; Daniel Majure, and wife Emma, of Pineville, LA. Sisters; Maxine Morgan of Baytown, TX and Ann Edwards, and husband Harold, of Mt. Pleasant, TX. Aunt Helen had a special relationship with all of her nieces and nephews. Helen had tremendous "grit" and gumption. She was a "no excuses" kind of person. Helen lived her life with integrity and fortitude. She was widely known for her wisdom and common sense. Her mission in life was to assist others, not with a hand out, but with a hand up.
