SAMMIE WHORTON

Sammie K. Whorton, 72, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at his home. Mr. Whorton was born March 4, 1946, in Russellville, Ark. He was a house mover and a Navy veteran. Survivors include six children, Jimmy Whorton and Samantha Whorton of Texarkana and Tara Moak, Jeff Whorton, Tammy Jordan and Julie Ivy of Russellville, Ark.; one brother, Vernon Whorton of Russellville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation is under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
