MARY MARTIN

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Mary Lou Petet Martin, 81, of Dierks, Ark., died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Martin was born Sept. 7, 1937, in the Lone Oak Community, Ark. She was a cosmetologist, artist, florist, auctioneer, church pianist and a former matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Wayne Martin. Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Tony Wayne Martin and Steven Glen and Cindy Martin of Dierks; two brothers, Tom Petet of De Queen and Jerry Petet of Springdale, Ark.; four grandchildren, Brad Martin of Georgetown, Texas, Brady Martin of Gainesville, Texas, Ben Martin of Bryant, Ark., and Beth Shelton of Dierks; one sister-in-law, Ruth Culpepper of Jonesboro, La.; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with Brady Martin officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
