BERTHA SUGGITT

Bertha Mae Suggitt, 93, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Suggitt was born Jan. 15, 1925, in Bowie County, Texas. She was retired from Christian Care Center and attended West Texarkana Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Suggitt; three sons, Tom Lee Suggitt, David Suggitt and Jerry Lynn Suggitt; one great-grandson, Hunter Suggitt; and one great-great granddaughter, Paisley Suggitt. Survivors include one son and two daughters-in-law, Eddie and Sharon Suggitt and Sue Suggitt; one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and David Brown; one special friend, Dorkenya Finley; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services were Sept. 21 in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial was under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
