James Kenneth Hanna

James Kenneth Hanna, 79, of Wake Village, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Hanna was born Aug. 29, 1939, in New Boston, Texas. He was retired from the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles and the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Wake Village. Survivors include his wife, Emma Jane Hanna of Wake Village; two sons and one daughter-in-law, James Hanna of DeKalb, Texas, and Trent and Bethany Hanna of Texarkana, Texaqs; one sister, Carolyn Grider of DeKalb; three brothers, Nick Hanna of Bixby, Okla., Norris Hanna of DeKalb and Paul Hanna of Tyler, Texas; and four grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Neathery officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
