DeKALB, Texas—Eric Leslie Grider, 35, of New Boston, Texas, died Sunday, September 23, 2018, at his home. Mr. Grider was born April 20, 1983, in Texarkana, Texas. He was self-employed in construction and a member of First United Methodist Church, DeKalb. Survivors include his parents, Carol Woodard Dean and Brad and Pat Grider of New Boston; one son, Jayden Dale Grider of DeKalb, Texas; one sister, Caryn Grider of New Boston; one brother, Braden Grider of New Boston; his grandparents, Mike and Carolyn McCrary and Vernie Woodard of DeKalb and Boyce and Melba Grider of Malta, Texas; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bates Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Matthew Butler officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, DeKalb.
