MURFREESBORO, Ark.—Thelma Steuart Maroon, 102, of Murfreesboro died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, in Murfrees-boro. Mrs. Maroon was born Sept. 8, 1916, in Roy, Ark. She was a member of Murfrees-boro Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Maroon; and two granddaughters, Jamie Owens and Amanda Shaddox. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Louise Maroon of Murfreesboro; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jean Owens of Plano, Texas, Sharon and Mike Hinton of Texarkana, Texas, and Connie and Jerry Jones of Murfreesboro; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Japany Cemetery with Rob Evans and Tommy Mounts officiating. Burial will be under direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
