Rose Darline McNeil, age 83, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. McNeil was born Dec. 11, 1934, in Lecompte, La. She was a retired principal and teacher with Fort Smith Independent School District and a Christian. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Candy McNeil of Maud, Texas, and George Malcolm McNeil Jr. of Tyler, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruby Dianne and Thomas Caron of Tyler; one sister, Glenda Monroe of Pineville, La.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with the Rev. Ed Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
