LUSTER HARRIS

Luster Lee Harris, 79, of Hooks, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Harris was born Aug. 9, 1939, in DeKalb, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Hooks. He was preceded in death by one son, Lynn Whitfield. Survivors include his wife, Ollie Mae Harris of Hooks; thirteen children; two sisters, Gulvae Johnson of Long Beach, Calif., and Crystal Hubbard of Hooks; one brother, O.B. Campbell Jr. of Hooks; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Jones of Dallas; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Hooks, with the Rev. Danny Traylor officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
