QUEEN CITY, Texas—Clarence E. Waters, 91, of Atlanta, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, in an Atlanta nursing home. Mr. Waters was born Jan. 12, 1952. He was a retired oil field and drilling rig worker, formerly employed in yard service, roofing and with Atlanta Canning Plant and a member of West Side Baptist Church and Nazarene Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Edwin, in1953. Survivors include his wife, Opal Genette Driskell Waters of Atlanta; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Clarence Edward Waters Jr. of Killeen, Texas, James Walter Waters of Dallas, John David and Magda Waters of Brownwood, Texas, and Ronald Joe Waters of Tennessee Colony, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Eddie Casebeer of Colorado City, Colo.; one sister-in-law, Jimmie Wheaton of Douglassville, Texas; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Queen City Funeral Home. Burial will be in Huffines Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
