NASHVILLE, Ark.—Donald R. "Donnie" Bowles, 69, of Nashville died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, in Texas. Mr. Bowles was born March 13, 1949, in Nashville. He was a history professor in Hope, Ark., retired from the Army, a member of Church of Christ and a Vietnam War veteran. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Donna Pearce of Hope and Shannon and Mike Williams of Aledo, Texas; his mother, Evalou Bowles of Nashville; four siblings and two spouses, Susan Bowles DeLaney of Hope, Karen and Richard Thomason of Mineral Springs, Ark., Robert and Sandra Bowles of Clinton, Utah, and Randy Bowles of Nashville; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Saline Church of Christ, Delight, Ark., with Roger Cox officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Saline Cemetery under direction of Nashville Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
