Elbenia Rainey

Elbenia Ewing Rainey, age 93, of Texarkana, Texas died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in a local nursing home. Mrs. Rainey was born October 10, 1924 in Clarksville, Texas. She and her husband owned and operated Rainey Construction Company and she was a member of St. Lukes Methodist Church since the 1940's. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rainey. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law; Jane and Boyd Caldwell of Ridgeway, South Carolina; Betty and Joe Cummings of San Antonio, Texas; and Angelia and Chad Wright of Texarkana, Texas; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sharon Rainey of Denton, Texas, Billy and Kate Rainey of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Jim and Stephanie Rainey of Texarkana, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Friday, September 28, 2018 at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas with Randy Thomas officiating.
