MURFREESBORO, Ark. -- The logjam atop the 7-2A conference standings will get a bit clearer tonight with Dierks visiting Murfreeesboro in a battle of teams that made the playoffs last fall.
The defending conference champion Outlaws (2-4, 1-0) have won three of the last four against the Rattlers (3-3, 2-0).
Dierks observed an open date last week and has won 2 of its last 3 games. The Outlaws fell to Poyen, 30-28, between wins over Magnet Cove and Foreman.
The Rattlers ride a 3-game win streak into tonight's meeting at Holloway Field at Rattler Stadium. Murfreesboro beat the Gators, 21-12, last week.
Dierks averages 29.7 points per game and allows 34.7 per outing. The Rattlers score 19.3 points and give up 20.5 points per game.
