TEXARKANA, Ark. -- A group of students from Arkansas High School are preparing to go to a national competition in Washington, D.C.

The nine students are going to the Educators Rising National Competition, during which they will display their passion for education.

The organization Educators Rising emphasizes growing educators from a district's local community, as well as prioritizing educator diversity and preparing students with resources for their future careers.

The students will go to the nation's capital on Friday, June 28.
