BETTY JONES

Betty Jones, 74, of Hooks, Texas, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at her home. <br />Mrs. Jones was born March 12, 1933, in Warren, Ark. She was retired owner of Fosters Old Fashion Freeze, Santa Maria, Calif., a charter member of Lompoc Valley Baptist Church, Lompoc, Calif., and a member of Myrtle Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Roger Lee Jones, in 1983. <br />Survivors include her husband, Robert Jones of Hooks; two daughters, Phyllis Smith of Santa Maria and Pamela Perez of Thornton, Colo.; one son, John Charles Jones of Brunswick, Ga.; five grandchildren, Kevin Smith, Adam Perez, Jenna Perez, Chad Jones and Shelby Jones; one great-grandchild; Isaiah Perez; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Hardaway officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. <br />Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Relatives will be at 206 E.
