LUCY NEWMAN <br />Lucy Catherine Newman, 91, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, in a local nursing home. <br />Mrs. Newman was born Aug. 5, 1917, in Mammoth Spring, Ark. She was a homemaker and attended Northside Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by one son, Lowell Ray Riggs. <br />Survivors include three daughters, Judy Williams, Catherine Freeman and Leona Williams of Texarkana; two sons, Harold D. Riggs of Texarkana and Larry Riggs of Karnack, Texas; one sister, Jewell Riggs of Texarkana; 19 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at East Memorial Gardens with the Revs. Ronnie Freeman, Randy Freeman and Keith Hampton officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Ark. <br />Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.texarkanafuneralhome.com. <br /> <br />
