NEW BOSTON, Texas—Billy Ed Parr, 72, of Maud, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at his home.

Mr. Parr was born Aug. 2, 1939, in Maud. He was a member of Maud Masonic Lodge 859 and First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sue McMichael Parr of Maud; one brother, Cader Parr of Texarkana; two sisters, Leigh Shipman and Margaret Barrett of Texarkana; one brother-in-law, Bobby Joe McMichael of Texarkana; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, Maud, with Mark Ritchey officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery, Simms, Texas, under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the church.

Memorials may be made to Dierksen Hospice or Maud First Baptist Church Building Fund.
