JAMES LOONEY


NEW BOSTON, Texas—James L. Looney, 80, of New Boston died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at his home.

Dr. Looney was born April 9, 1931, in New Boston. He was a dentist, member of Tapp United Methodist Church and an Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Looney.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Heather Looney of New Boston; two daughters, Dana Brock of New Boston and Donna Smith of Fort Smith, Ark.; one sister, Bonnie Atkins; five grandchildren, Bart Brock and Ally Brock of New Boston and Peyton Smith, Caleb Smith and Carah Jane Smith of Fort Smith; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Tapp United Methodist Church with Rick Ivey officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, Nash, Texas, under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Tapp United Methodist Church Building Fund.
