GERALDINE STEED

GURDON, Ark.—Geraldine Steed, 89, of Gurdon died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, in a Benton, Ark., hospital.

Mrs. Steed was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Gurdon. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Gurdon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fielden I. “Red” Steed; two sons, Dave Steed and Ralph Steed; one daughter, Tammy Steed; and one grandson, Keith Steed.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Steve Steed of Memphis, Tenn., Dennis and Semra Steed of Las Vegas and Sarah Steed of Hot Springs, Ark.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Bill and Pat Cross and Buele “Pete” Cross of Camden, Ark.; two granddaughters, Amy Lewis of Los Alamos, N.M., and Ashley Anderson of Benton, Ark.; one grandson, Matthew Steed of Las Vegas; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Pharr Funeral Home with Mark Crowley and Allan Eakin officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
