DAVID DOBBS

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—David Lee Dobbs, 70, of Daingerfield, Texas, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, in Tyler, Texas.

Mr. Dobbs was born Nov. 3, 1944, in Wichita, Kan. He was a service manager with Holms Pontiac and Mercedes Benz, Shreveport, La., employed with Hughes Springs Elementary School, an electrician, a mechanic, a Scout Master with Troop 66, Hughes Springs, and a member of South Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Hopkins; four children and two spouses, Brian and Tosha Dobbs of Ponchatoula, La., and Tami Dobbs, John Dobbs and Cassie and Jason Rhyne of Daingerfield; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at South Union Missionary Baptist Church with Chad Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
