Douglas Roland Fox Jr., 82, of Wake Village, Texas, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his home. Mr. Fox was born May 7, 1934 in Buffalo, N.Y. He was Retired MSG with the United States Army, a member of First Lutheran Church and a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Astrid Fox. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Ingrid Spencer of Orange Grove, Texas and Evelyn and David Crain of Wake Village; seven grandchildren, Todd Hackleman Sr., and Jonathan Hackleman of Orange Grove, Bailey Wall of Texarkana, Andrew Crain of Redwater, Texas, Rykki Marie Hart of New Boston, Texas, and Douglas Crain and Cheyenne Crain of Wake Village; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Scott Sundbye officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Todd Reed officiating under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
