DeKALB, Texas—Mary Lea Moles, 82, of DeKalb died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, in a Texakrana, Texas nursing home. Mrs. Moles was born April 10, 1934, in DeKalb. She was a former key punch operator with Red River Army Depot, former member of DeKalb City Council and a member of First Baptist Church, DeKalb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Ray Moles; and one son, Steven Wayne Moles Sr. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Rebecca Moles of Huntsville, Texas; one sister-in-law, Helen Hicks of DeKalb; four grandchildren, Melissa Young of Texarkana, Steven Wayne Moles Jr. of Maud, Texas, Edith Dixon of Huntsville, Texas, and Buster Ellisor of Spring Branch, Texas; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bates Family Funeral Home with Ben House officiating. Burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
