CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Joe W. Scott, 56, of Clarksville died Monday, April 2, 2018, in a Mount Pleasant, Texas hospital. Mr. Scott was born March 13, 1962. He was employed with Tyson's Food, Broken Bow, Okla., formerly employed with Pilgrim's Pride, Mount Pleasant, Scotch Craft and Boat Factory, Clarksville, a member of Hope Valley Baptist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include one daughter, Tassauria Gray of Mesquite, Texas; two stepdaughters, Sarah Washington and Cherika Robinson of Dallas; his mother, Clara Faye Scott of Clarksville; one brother, Gene Gray of Paris, Texas; seven sisters, Marilyn Jo Scott of Grand Prairie, Texas, Sharrion Taylor of Fulbright, Texas, Yolanda Brown and Cynthia Norris of Paris, Texas, Lola Miles of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Gail Murray of Atlanta, Ga., and Kimberly Robinson of Clarksville; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Traveler Baptist Church, Clarksville, with P.A. Porchia officiating. Burial will be in Turner Cemetery under direction of Citizen Funeral Home.
