WAYNE JONES

Everett Wayne Jones, 86, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, April 6, 2018, in a local hospice. Mr. Jones was born April 17, 1931, in Miller County, Ark. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, a member of First Assembly of God and a Korean War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Powell Jones. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Donna Jones of Longview, Texas, and Steve and Cindy Jones of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Tony Jennings of Huntsville, Ala., and Karen and Keith Ward of Texarkana; one sister, Pearl Henry of Willow Creek, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with the Rev. Hal Haltom officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
