LINDEN, Texas—James Marvin Carwile, 88, of Linden died Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Mr. Carwile was born Oct. 27, 1929, in Linden. He was retired from Red River Army Depot and a Korean War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Ruth Carwile. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James Doyle and Sheila Carwile of Texarkana and Dennis Wayne and Amy Carwile of Calhoun, La.; four grandchildren, Stephanie Carwile Murray of Elysian Fields, Texas, Justin Ryan Carwile of Jefferson, Texas, Joshua Wayne Moore Carwile of Niceville, Fla., and James Daniel Carwile of Houston; two stepgrandsons, Williams Charles Stewart III of Bedford, Texas, and James Hamilton Stewart of Dallas; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Methodist Church with Taylor Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
