MATTHEW GREEN

A celebration of life service for Matthew Thomas Green, 28, of Hooks, will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at 3:00 p.m., in the sanctuary at Rise Church with Pastor Leon Radford officiating. Matthew passed from this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. He was born on September 13, 1989, in Texarkana to Ron and Tommie Green. Matthew was a man of faith and a member of Rise Church in Wake Village. He loved the Lord and often spread the word of his Savior with family and friends. His favorite time was spent attending church activities and fishing with his wife and son. He was an adventurer and enjoyed running marathons such as the Spartan Race and Mud Run. He was a 2008 graduate of Maud High School and was employed by Texarkana Water Utilities. Matthew will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend, Jordan. He is survived by his son, Ash Green; his father, Ron Green of Conway, Arkansas; his mother, Tommie West of Maud, Texas; sister, Crystal Bridges, and husband Sonny of Conway, Arkansas; sister Natalie Horton, and husband Rox of Ft. Worth, Texas; brother Kyle Green, and wife Amy of Conway, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Roland and Glenda Green, and Janis Trenary. Contributions in memory of Matthew can be made in care of Jordan Green to FCI Credit Union, 3613 Leopard Drive, Texarkana, Texas. Services are under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
