CHARLES DONELAN

DeKALB, Texas—Charles E. Donelan, 88, of Point, Texas, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in a Tyler, Texas hospital. Mr. Donelan was born Sept. 10, 1929, in Springfield, Ill. He was a former salesman and branch manager for Genuine Parts Co., Dallas, and a Korean War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one stepson, Ronnie Manning. Survivors include his wife, Pearlie Woodruff Donelan of Point; one sister, Martha Donelan Muir of Punta Gorda, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Anna Cochran and Mary Jon McDonald of New Boston, Texas; and a number of other relatives. Mass services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bates Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Diegel officiating. Burial will be in Old Salem Cemetery, New Boston. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 551 E. FM 2795, Emory, Texas 75440, or to a favorite charity of your choice.
