ATLANTA, Texas—Vyneta Louise Combs Allen, 81, of Bloomburg, Texas, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Allen was born April 14, 1937, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was retired from Alford Refrigerated Warehouse and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Allen Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Sadie Lishman. Survivors include three sons, Billy Cook of Keller, Texas, Bobby Cook of Watauga, Texas, and Bryan Cook of Bloomberg, Texas; two stepdaughters, Jeanene Quan and Darlene Allen of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Ed Combs of Hot Springs, Ark.; three sisters, Dorce Bench of Irving, Texas, Frances Hunt of McKinney, Texas, and Pam Bradley of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church, Bloomburg, with David Baxley officiating. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
