GENE SMITH

Gene Smith, 83, of Fouke, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Smith was born June 21, 1935, in Fouke. He was a retired pipefitter-welder, a member of Fouke Church of Christ and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Fredonia Smith of Fouke; one daughter, Barbara Smith of Dallas; three sons and one daughter in-law, Bobby Smith of Fouke and William and Teresa Smith and Brian Smith of Houston; one sister, Ruth Hart of Bossier City, La.; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with Johnny Pistole officiating. Burial will be in Sylverino Cemetery.
