NEW BOSTON, Texas—Lena Reed Duren, 82, of New Boston died Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, in a Texarkana hospice. Mrs. Duren was born Aug. 6, 1935, in New Boston. She was retired from Hesser Drug Store, a member of First Baptist Church, Wake Village, former member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and former nursery worker and member of Baylor Baptist Church, Ennis, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Max Duren; one daughter, Belinda Zalkovsky; two sons, Randy Duren and Tracy Duren; two brothers, Doyle Reed and Bill Reed; three sisters, Bonnie Reed, Becky Castaldy and Jenny Lee; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Donny Duren and Frank Kirvin officiating. Burial will be in Red Bayou Cemetery.
