ASHDOWN, Ark.—Russell W. Helms, 53, of Ashdown died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Helms was born April 17, 1965, in De Queen, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Helms of Ashdown; two sons, William Pettigrew and Dallas Pettigrew of De Queen, Ark.; his parents; Billy Joe and Glenda Helms of Ashdown; and one sister and brother-in-law Angie and David Nichols of Queen City, Texas. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Madden Funeral Home with Millard Huett officiating. Burial will be in Ashdown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
