GLADYS JAMES

Gladys Marie James, 67, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas. Ms. James was born Sept. 16, 1950, in Texarkana. She was employed in housekeeping with Holiday Inn. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Delneta Moore of Texarkana; one daughter, India and Leon Smith of Fayetteville, Ark.; her mother, Gladys Moore of Texarkana; three sisters, Barbara Moore and Minnie Mae Moore of Texarkana and Cynthia Newell of Houston; one brother, James Moore of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Jordan and Kenneth Reid officiating. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery under direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the church.
