TONY MURPHY

Tony Terrell Murphy, 47, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at his home. Mr. Murphy was born Dec. 9, 1970, in Texarkana. He was a member of Church of the Living God Temple No. 4. Survivors include one son, Antonio Ray of Texarkana; seven daughters, Ariana Cooper of Tyler, Texas, Antionetta Ray, Kimberly Ray, Shanell Murphy and Sha'Tonia Matlock of Texarkana, Mercedes Murphy of San Antonio and Kwierra Surman; five brothers, Larry Murphy and Clarence Murphy of Texarkana, Carl Murphy and Reginald Murphy of Ashdown, Ark., and Christopher Murphy of Hot Springs, Ark.; four sisters, Bertha Webster Lewis, Rosie Murphy, Stacy Murphy and Shaddonna Bailey of Texarkana; 12 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Deliverance Temple COGIC with Superintendent Phillip Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Lyles Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
