JAMES VanHOOK SR.

PRESCOTT, Ark.—James Henry VanHook Sr., 78, of Prescott died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at his home. Mr. VanHook was born April 14, 1940, in Emmet, Ark. He was a retired log loader for Potlatch and attended St. Paul Church, Emmet, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae VanHook; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Jr. and Betty and Shawn and Pam Acie of Prescott; two daughters and one son-in-law, Danita Thomas of Hope and Natasha and Keyon Walton of Prescott; one brother, Acie Jr.; one special friend, John Henagan; nine grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Central Baptist Church with Ivory Curry officiating. Burial will be in Snell Cemetery under direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.
