ODESSA FORT

HOPE, Ark.—Odessa Fort, 91, of Prescott, Ark., died Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, in a Prescott nursing home. Mrs. Fort was born April 8, 1927. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Obie Lee Fort. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Roosevelt and Peggy Sims of Rockford, Ill.; two nephews and one spouse, Floyd and Tanisha Purifoy of Prescott and Andre Purifoy of Bluff City, Ark.; and three nieces, Murine Morris and Shirley Purifoy of Bluff City and Orine Purifoy of Little Rock. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John Baptist Church, Bluff City. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
