DeKALB, Texas—Marvis Rene Allen, 65, of New Boston died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Allen was born March 16, 1953, in Hope. She was a retired teacher with James Bowie ISD and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Simms, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Howard D. Allen of New Boston; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sarah and Vince Hardage of New Boston and Tonya Allen of Texarkana; one son, Bill Allen of DeKalb; her mother, Bennie Faye Alsabrook of Dierks, Ark.; one brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Nancy Alsabrook of Dierks, Ark.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bates Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Minter officiating. Burial will be in Harris Cemetery, Harris, Okla.
