J. WILSON HOOD

J. Wilson Hood, 84, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018. Mr. Hood was born June 29, 1933, in Nida, Okla. He was a retired Director of Nutritional Services at Wadley Hospital, worked at Texarkana Funeral Home, former president of Oaklawn Rotary Club, an officer at Sunrise Rotary Club, a member of the NRA, TSRA, Border Lodge 672 and Williams Memorial United Methodist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hood of Texarkana; one son, Larkin Wilson Hood of Texarkana; three grandchildren, Lucia Nerio, Landon Murray Hood and Lena Monteen Hood of Texarkana; and three stepgrandchildren, Lauren Rodgers Cunningham, Brandon Rodgers and Tori Hudnall of Texarkana. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Cemetery with Dr. Brad Morgan and the Rev. Dale Vickers officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
