DeKALB, Texas—Roddy Paul Jolly, 81, of DeKalb died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital. Mr. Jolly was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Archer City, Texas. He was an electrician, a Mason and a member of The Lighthouse Church. Survivors include his wife, Lavelle Jolly of DeKalb; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mike King of Bridgeport, Texas; three sisters Peggy Taylor of Jacksboro, Texas, LaMerle Martin of Van Alstyne, Texas, and Orlene Herd of Jacksboro, Texas; two grandchildren, Michael King of Yoakum, Texas and Hillary Alaniz of Midland, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Bates Family Funeral Home with Michael King and Rickey Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Hubbard Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
