Andrew Covarrubias

Mr. Andrew Covarrubias, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, found his peace on January 30, 2018, at the age of 70.  Originally from San Antonio, he was the son of Andres and Angela H. Covarrubias, who preceded him in death.  He was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Army with the 11th Infantry Brigade; he also served in the Air Force Reserves.  In 2008 he retired from his 40-year Civil Service career.  Mr. Covarrubias traveled the globe finally settling down in Hutto, Texas where he was an active 3rd Degree member of the St. Patrick Knights of Columbus, Council 12927, he was also a 4th Degree member of the St. Kateri Tekakwitha ASM 3229 Knights of Columbus.  He was a member of HCPAAA, a member of the Royal Dragoon Guards, and a valued member of the community.  Mr. Covarrubias is survived by his wife of 49 years, Chris Covarrubias, two children, and a grandson. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Beck Funeral Home, Pflugerville, with the Rosary at 7:00 PM.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2500 Limmer Loop, Hutto, Texas.  Interment will be Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:15 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Patrick Building Fund.
