HOPE, Ark.—John W. Gierth Jr., 90, of Prescott, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at his home. Mr. Gierth was born Oct. 5, 1927, in Three Rivers, Texas. He was a farmer, cattleman and member of First United Methodist Church, Hope. Survivors include two brothers, Roy Lee Gierth and Willard Gierth of Prescott; two sisters, Helen Hammock and Joylyn Putz of Hope; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Lee Little Jr. officiating. Burial will be under direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
