IDABEL, Okla.—Simon Amos, 90, of Idabel died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, in Tulsa, Okla. Mr. Amos was born April 6, 1927, in Garvin, Okla. He was formerly employed with Weyerhaeuser Saw Mill, a farmer and a Treasurer and member of Bokchito Church. He was preceded in death by one son, George. Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law, Charlene Kilpatrick of Durant, Okla., and Katherine and Bob Goombi of Eudora, Kan.; two sisters-in law, Louise Amos of Garvin and Odessa Amos of Oklahoma City; three special friends, Alline Johnson, Maxine Johnson and James Earl Johnson; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at White Family Funeral Home with Tommy Wesley and Eastman Jessie officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Denison Cemetery.
