NOBLE DODSON

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Noble Lee Dodson, 79, of DeKalb, Texas, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at his home. Mr. Dodson was born April 29, 1938, in Cass County, Texas. He was a retired Staff Sergeant with the Army, a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and a Vietnam War veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris Joy Dodson; one daughter, Teresa Gail Dodson; and one son, Tommy Lee Dodson. Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Helen Dodson of Avinger, Texas, and Gene and Charlotte Dodson of Hughes Springs, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Carl Parsons and Linda and Paul Davis of Daingerfield, Texas; one granddaughter, Tori Penney of New Boston; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Rock Hill Baptist Church, Maud, Texas, with Steve Minter officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.
