SHANNON SMITH

Shannon Marie Smith, 36, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, in a local hospice. Ms. Smith was born Nov. 20, 1981, in Arlington, Texas. She was an assistant manager for Subway, employed with Julie's Deli, and a nursery worker with Walnut Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons, Patrick Gavin Wade, Jacob Landon Renfroe and Cameron Matthew Smith of Texarkana; her parents, Frix Smith of Texarkana and Cynthia DeCarr of Overland, Mo.; her stepparents, Kim and Mike Stanford of Kennedale, Texas; one brother, Josh Thompson of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Rachel Rousan of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one stepbrother, Jeremy Grammer of Kennedale; and her grandmother, Esta Smith of Texarkana. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Walnut Church of Christ with Patrick Cannon officiating. Cremation is under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
