Mary Barkman

Mary Elizabeth Barkman, age 90, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Barkman was born January 23, 1927, in Nashville, Arkansas. She was a retired postmaster and a member of Chapelwood Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Thera Dossey; and one brother, G.W. Dossey. Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Barkman; one son, Dale Barkman and wife, Pam, of Atlanta, Texas; two grandchildren, Sarah Barkman Watson and husband, Thomas, of Atlanta, Texas, and Robert Jacob Barkman and wife, Kim, of Lacey, Washington; and six great-grandchildren, Kathryn Barkman, Kevin Black, Avery Barkman, Addison Watson, Nathanial Watson and Riley Barkman. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Chuck Mancil officiating.
