AGNES NIX

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Agnes Shaw Runnels Nix, 96, of Lockesburg, Ark., died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Nix was born Aug. 15, 1921, in Bethel, Okla. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of Nix Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Runnels and Carroll Nix; two daughters, Faye Mobbs and Charlene Friend; and two grandsons, Tim Mobbs and Michael McGough. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Lavern Runnels and Dean and Ann Runnels of Lockesburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Martie and Bennie Griffin of De Queen; and a number of grandchildren and other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Sam Hendrix officiating. Burial will be in Old Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
