NAPLES, Texas—Gloria June Norwood, 77, of Omaha, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Ms. Norwood was born June 24, 1940. She was a hairdresser and a member of the Humane Society of the United States, PAWS and the National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children. She was preceded in death by one son, Syd Norwood. Survivors include one uncle and aunt, Coy and Sarah Moreland of Omaha; two nephews, Michael Morris of Denton, Texas, and Damon Hampton of Texarkana; two nieces, Mona Johnson of Naples, and Kendra Hampton of Dallas; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Harrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Naples Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
