JAMES SWEENEY

James Sweeney, 80, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at his home. Mr. Sweeney was born March 13, 1937, in King County, N.Y. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Marie Sweeney; and one stepdaughter, Jennifer Richardson. Survivors include his wife, Helen Sweeney; two daughters, Ann Bellotti and Linda Hotine; one stepdaughter Molly Kidd; two stepsons, Bill Keller and Jack Moyer; one brother, Thomas Sweeney; one sister, Joann Lewis; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Online registration is at eastfuneralhomes.com.
