STAMPS, Ark.—Donald "Don" Ray Matthews, 80, of Stamps died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018. Mr. Matthews was born March 3, 1937, in Buckner, Ark. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Matthews of Stamps; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Scoot McDowell of Lewisville, Ark.; three sisters, Billie Jean Craine of Siloam Springs, Ark., Maxine Stevens of Springhill, Ark., and Helen Bearden of Hope, Ark.; two grandchildren, Chase McDowell and Pooh Davis; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home with Mike Turner officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
